Triumphums BLS 100A 4IN1 ESC TEST REPORT

by AdminTriumphums 22 Aug 2025

When building a high-performance drone/car, the electronic speed controller (ESC) is one of the most critical components. It determines how responsive your motors are, how efficiently power is delivered, and ultimately how reliable your flight experience will be.

We recently had the opportunity to test the TRIUMPHUMS BLS 100A 4IN1 ESC, a compact all-in-one solution designed for demanding FPV drones, racing platforms, and even small to mid-sized industrial applications. Here’s how it performed.

First Impressions: Compact and Clean

Right out of the box, the TRIUMPHUMS BLS 100A 4IN1 ESC impresses with its compact form factor. Measuring just [insert dimensions if available], it fits neatly into most 5-inch to 7-inch frames without crowding the build. The board layout is clean, with well-labeled solder pads and a sturdy connector for the flight controller.

The build quality feels solid. The PCB is well-constructed, and the components are neatly arranged, giving confidence that this ESC is built to handle higher current loads without overheating or failure.

Key Specifications

  • Continuous Current: 100A (4 x 25A per channel)

  • Peak Current: 120A (for short bursts)

  • Input Voltage: 3S–8S LiPo

  • Firmware: BLHeli_32 (configurable)

  • Supported Protocols: DShot600, DShot300, Oneshot, Multishot, PWM

  • Onboard Capacitors: Yes8

  • Mounting: 30.5mm x 30.5mm/M3 standard mounting pattern

Bench Testing

We set up the ESC with a set of 2207 motors on a 6S LiPo to evaluate throttle response, temperature performance, and overall reliability.

Throttle Response

Using DShot600 protocol, the ESC delivered immediate and linear throttle response. From low-end hover to full throttle punches, there was no noticeable lag or desynchronization. The motor startup was smooth, with no stuttering even at minimal throttle.

Temperature Management

Under aggressive flying conditions—including repeated punch-outs and sustained high throttle—the ESC remained within acceptable temperature ranges. The aluminum base plate and onboard heat dissipation design help keep things cool. Even after several minutes of hard flying, the ESC was warm but not hot to the touch.

Current Draw and Efficiency

We measured current draw across various throttle positions. The ESC demonstrated efficient power conversion, with minimal losses compared to other units in the same class. This translates to slightly longer flight times—a welcome bonus for freestyle and racing pilots.

Real-World Flight Testing

We mounted the ESC on a 5-inch freestyle quad running 6S and took it through a series of flight tests:

  • Smooth Cruising: The ESC delivered buttery smooth throttle control, making low-speed maneuvers feel precise and predictable.

  • Aggressive Freestyle: During fast flips, rolls, and rapid direction changes, the ESC maintained perfect motor synchronization. No desyncs or unexpected cutouts were observed.

  • High-Speed Punch-Outs: The 100A continuous rating handled full-throttle climbs with ease. Motors responded instantly, and the quad shot upward with authority.

What Stands Out

  • Reliability: After multiple flights across different conditions, the ESC performed consistently with no issues.

  • Clean Signal: Even with high-current draws, the onboard filtering kept motor noise to a minimum, resulting in cleaner video feed and more stable flight control.

  • Easy Setup: Standard mounting pattern and clear wiring layout make installation straightforward, even for builders with moderate experience.

Considerations

  • The 4-in-1 design means that if one ESC channel fails, the entire unit may need replacement. However, the build quality suggests that this is unlikely under normal use.

  • For builds exceeding the 100A continuous rating, or for heavy-lift applications, we recommend considering the larger BLS series or individual ESCs for redundancy.

Final Verdict

The TRIUMPHUMS BLS 100A 4IN1 ESC is a solid choice for pilots seeking a balance of power, reliability, and clean installation. Whether you're building a freestyle quad, a racing drone, or a compact industrial platform, this ESC delivers the performance needed to push your setup to its limits.

With smooth throttle response, efficient power delivery, and robust thermal management, it stands as a competitive option in the 4-in-1 ESC market.
